'Threat to magistrate' worries Justice Secretary


The Secretary for Justice, Rimsky Yuen, has expressed concern over claims by a deputy magistrate that he was threatened after convicting a protester of assaulting a police officer with her breasts. Ng Lai-ying was sentenced to three and a half months in jail yesterday. Mr Yuen said people have a right to express their views but must do so within the confines of the law. He said should anyone be found to have committed contempt of court the matter will be followed up by the police.
