StartmeupHK Festival to be held

StartmeupHK Festival 2018 will take place from January 29 to February 2, focusing on fintech, connected city, retail technology, health technology and a new theme ?the Internet of Life?.

The festival organised by Invest Hong Kong will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre with more than 100 industry experts involved.

The week's flagship event, StartmeupHK Venture Forum provides a platform for participants to interact with globally-acclaimed entrepreneurs, industry leaders and policymakers through keynote speeches, fireside chats and panel discussions.

The 2018 Fintech Finals is expected to draw around 2,000 people, including 500 founders and chief executive officers to hear the sector's best speakers discussing fintech design, innovation and entrepreneurship.

It will also see 24 outstanding global start-ups pitching for prizes and cash.

The Connected City conference will gather industry leaders, government representatives and international entrepreneurs to discuss and showcase innovations.

The week will wrap up on February 2 with the Internet of Life Summit which will position emerging technology as having the greatest potential to change the world.
