Sci-tech awards entries invited

The Innovation & Technology Commission today invited people in Hong Kong to submit entries for the 2021 State Technological Invention Award and the State Scientific & Technological Progress Award.

These are two categories under the State Science & Technology Awards administered by the State Council. The commission has been entrusted by the National Office for Science & Technology Awards to co-ordinate nominations from Hong Kong for the two awards since 2002.

The awards recognise outstanding contributions to scientific and technological progress by individuals and organisations, commend scientists' and technologists' enthusiasm and creativity, accelerate the development of scientific and technological undertakings, and enhance overall national strength.

Entries for the 2021 awards in Hong Kong will close on October 23.
