Link DetailsPolice report made on rail issues The Highways Department has filed a report to Police regarding construction issues at Hung Hom Station of the Shatin to Central Link.
It made the complaint after receiving the Mass Transit Railway Corporation's report on the construction problems today.
The department said statements given by one of the sub-contractors of Leighton Contractors (Asia) contradicted assurances given to the MTRC by Leighton.
It said Leighton has denied the allegations while the MTRC has not expressed any opinion on the matter.
The department suspects the issue may involve criminal elements and has referred it to the Police.
The department said it will thoroughly examine other content and technical information in the report and ask the MTRC to make clarifications or provide supplementary information. |
