Philae photos surprise scientists

European scientists say photographs taken by the Philae space probe show the surface of the comet on which it landed is much harder than expected. A planetary researcher at the German space agency said the comet was covered with coarse debris and rocks rather than dusty deposits. Scientists hope that samples drilled by Philae will unlock information on how the planets -- and possibly even life -- evolved.
