Notification system upheld

The Government will follow the existing mechanism of requiring notification to the Police and the Letter of No Objection with regard to public processions and meetings.

The Security Bureau made the statement today in response to a media report saying that the Government is studying the possibility of declaring a curfew.

Apart from the existing mechanism, there are no other plans concerning public processions and meetings, the bureau added.
