Hong Kong?s population stood at 7,448,900 in mid-2018, up 0.8% from mid-2017, the Census & Statistics Department said today.

There were 55,000 births and 47,300 deaths, resulting in a natural increase of 7,600.

There was also an inflow of 41,000 one-way permit holders and a net inflow of 8,500 other Hong Kong residents.

In mid-2018, the number of usual residents was 7,228,100 and the number of mobile residents was 220,800.
