Merritt wins in Virginia, Tiger ends eighth

The American golfer Troy Merritt has won the PGA Tour's Quicken Loans National by three shots over Rickie Fowler. Merritt closed with a 67 to finish 15 under-par. Tiger Woods started strong in Virginia but struggled on Saturday. The former number one closed on Sunday with a respectful 68 to share eighth place.
