James Lau to attend fintech event

Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury James Lau will leave for Shenzhen tomorrow to attend the 2018 Hong Kong Fintech Week Shenzhen Day.

The Fintech Week Shenzhen Day is an unprecedented cross-boundary fintech event for Hong Kong.

Mr Lau will take a high-speed train to Futian to attend a gala luncheon co-organised by Invest Hong Kong and the Shenzhen Government?s Office of Financial Development Service.

He will speak on future development and collaboration on fintech in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and visit the Tencent headquarters.

Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Joseph Chan will be Acting Secretary during Mr Lau's absence.
