HKeL to be only Gov't law website

Hong Kong e-Legislation (HKeL) will be the Government's only legislation website from July 1, with the discontinuation of the Bilingual Laws Information System (BLIS) website on the same date, the Department of Justice said today.

Introduced in February 2017, HKeL has been running in parallel with BLIS.

HKeL's functions have been upgraded since its launch, including the enhancement of its Chapter Number Index to facilitate the downloading of PDF copies of different chapters.

A progress bar was also added to its "view legislation" page to indicate the loading progress of a chapter.

The Government will listen to the views of users to enhance the database, the department added.
