FS lauds Policy Address

The 2018 Policy Address has widely met community needs and shows the Government?s determination in developing the economy and improving people?s livelihood, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said. 

He was speaking to the media today after Chief Executive Carrie Lam delivered her Policy Address at the Legislative Council.

Mr Chan said he will manage financial resources to facilitate the implementation of various measures in the Policy Address.

To ensure Hong Kong?s economic stability, he said he will closely monitor the external political and economic environment and assist the business sector in countering challenges, especially from the trade dispute between the Mainland and the US.

He said he will also listen to the views of stakeholders and citizens when the consultation period for next year?s Budget begins.
