Footbridge project to be discussed

Chief Executive Carrie Lam has asked the Secretary for Transport & Housing and the Director of Highways to discuss the details of the Yuen Long footbridge project with five professional institutes.

Mrs Lam told legislators today she has noted many opinions on the proposed $1.7 billion footbridge connecting Yuen Long Town and Long Ping Station.

She hopes the Government can reach a consensus with the professional institutes to fulfil community needs and attain better urban liveability.
