Fake email, websites alert issued


The Monetary Authority today issued an alert on a phishing email and five fraudulent websites claiming to be from Bank of China (Hong Kong).

 

The address of the bogus email is bochk@customerservice.com.

 

The bank said it has no connection with the email and reminded clients not to click on the links in it.

 

The fake websites in the email are: https://evalscafe.tk/update/it's.bochk.com/boc/indexchina.html, https://evalscafe.tk/update/it's.bochk.com/boc/index.html, https://valscafe.tk/secure/it's.bochk.com/boc/indexchina.html, https://valscafe.tk/secure/it's.bochk.com/boc/index.html, and http://yakimavalleykennelclub.com/bochk/netbanking/authentication/prelogon/logon/cn.htm.

 

Anyone who has provided personal information or conducted financial transactions through the websites or email should contact Police at 2860 5012 and the bank at 3988 2388.
