Constable initially tests positive

A 34-year-old female Police Constable posted to the Mong Kok Licensing Office Sub-unit has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.

She has no travel history and did not go to work in the past 14 days.

Her last working day was February 22, when she started maternity leave.

Police are highly concerned and will arrange for all officers and civilian staff who might have been in contact with the officer concerned to undergo COVID-19 testing.

The force will maintain close communication with the Department of Health. Arrangements will be made for her close contacts to be brought to quarantine centres.
