Aphibarnrat triumphs first time outside Asia

Thai golfer Kiradech Aphibarnrat has won the Paul Lawrie Matchplay for his third European Tour success and a first outside of Asia He defeated Robert Karlsson in the final in Aberdeen in a match which went to the 18th hole before a birdie sealed the title. The Thai star says picking up a win in Europe is important to show that golfers from a small country like Thailand can succeed on the world stage.
