99 pollution convictions in November

The Environmental Protection Department recorded 99 convictions for pollution offences in November.

Fourteen convictions were for air pollution, 21 for noise, 57 for waste and seven for water pollution.

The heaviest penalty handed down for the month was a $50,000 fine against a company for contravening licence provisions.
