$49.1b surplus recorded in January


The Government recorded a $49.1 billion surplus in January, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau announced today.

 

Expenditure was $41.8 billion and revenue was $90.9 billion for the month.

 

Government expenditure for the 10-month period ending January 31 amounted to $422.5 billion, with revenue at $530.6 billion, bringing the cumulative year-to-date surplus to $108.1 billion.

 

Fiscal reserves stood at $1.211 trillion as of January 31.
