41 COVID-19 cases recorded

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 41 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 38 are locally transmitted.

 

Among the local cases, 11 have unknown sources of infection.

 

The patients include 21 males and 20 females aged between three and 76.

 

One case involves a worker from the Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel construction site cluster while two cases entail the Central Kowloon Route - Central Tunnel construction site cluster.

 

Other confirmed cases comprise three ferry workers and one of their close contacts.

 

The three imported cases involve one patient who arrived from the Philippines and two from the US.

 

The Hospital Authority reported that a patient care assistant working in the out-patient clinic of Princess Margaret Hospital?s Occupational Therapy Department has tested positive for COVID-19.

 

It added that another patient care assistant in the same department has preliminarily tested positive for the virus.
