$27.2b deficit recorded


The Government recorded a $27.2 billion deficit for the first four months of the current financial year.

 

Expenditure was at $168.8 billion and revenue at $135.3 billion, resulting in the year-to-date deficit for the period after receipt of net proceeds of $7.8 billion from the issuance of green bonds under the Government Green Bond Programme and repayment of institutional notes of $1.5 billion.

 

Fiscal reserves stood at $1.1437 trillion as of end-July.
